Overview
The Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute (MDPI) invites nominations for the Young Women in Engineering Award. This award celebrates outstanding achievements by young female researchers who have made significant contributions to engineering and aims to inspire more women to pursue research careers in the field.

- Monetary prize: CHF 1000 (note: stated grant range $1,000–$10,000 in this listing)
- Electronic certificate recognizing the award
- APC voucher: Waiver voucher to cover article processing charges for one submission to an MDPI engineering journal (subject to peer review) — valid for one year
Why this matters
The award promotes gender diversity in engineering research by honoring high-achieving early-career women and encouraging the next generation to pursue engineering research careers.
Eligibility Criteria
- Open to female candidates only.
- Ph.D. completed no more than 10 years before 31 December 2025 (i.e., Ph.D. awarded on or after 1 January 2016).
- Evidence of groundbreaking research and significant contributions to engineering.
- Must be nominated by senior scientists (see application requirements below).
