About the Fellowship

FASPE is inviting applications for its intensive two-week Business Fellowship program focused on professional ethics and ethical leadership. The program combines the power of historical place with academic rigor, holding seminars in Berlin and Poland at key sites of Nazi history.

Core Focus Areas

  • The complicity of German businesses and executives in Nazi policies.
  • Legal compliance and corporate social responsibility versus true ethical behavior.
  • The meaning of ethics in business without a formal code of conduct.
  • The ethics of technological and business innovations.
  • Navigating multiple loyalties to stockholders, customers, employees, vendors, and communities.
  • Recognizing multiple motivations and aligning them with personal and institutional morals.
  • Tactics for addressing ethical issues within large corporate institutions.

Who Should Apply

FASPE seeks open-minded, reflective graduate business students and early-career professionals (generally with no more than 10 years of experience) who are capable of engaging in responsible discussions on difficult issues. Candidates from all religious, political, socioeconomic, and gender backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

What’s Covered

The program is fully funded to ensure financial ability does not affect participation. FASPE covers:

  • Roundtrip economy-class airfare from the US to Europe.
  • All transportation costs for group travel and activities in Germany and Poland.
  • All admission fees, program materials, and hotel costs.
  • All group meal costs and pocket money for non-group meals.
