Mr. Zahoor Hussain Khan

Mr. Zahoor Hussain Khan brings over 38 years of distinguished experience in rural development, microfinance, and infrastructure development to his role as Chairman of the Board of Directors at ASARA FOR HUMANITY NETWORK. A visionary leader and development professional, Mr. Khan has dedicated his career to empowering marginalized communities and fostering inclusive growth through innovative and sustainable solutions.

As the former President and CEO of NRSP Microfinance Bank, Mr. Khan was instrumental in transforming an NGO microcredit program into a full-fledged national microfinance institution. Under his leadership, the bank expanded its outreach to over 400,000 customers, while pioneering services in microcredit, deposit mobilization, Islamic microfinance, and digital banking solutions. His ability to build strong institutional frameworks, lead multidisciplinary teams, and foster partnerships with global organizations such as the IFC, KfW, and Acumen Fund contributed significantly to the bank’s national prominence.

Mr. Khan’s leadership legacy also includes pioneering roles with the Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (AKRSP), Khushhali Microfinance Bank, and the Balochistan and National Rural Support Programmes (BRSP and NRSP), where he led critical infrastructure and development initiatives across Pakistan’s underserved regions. His expertise spans community organization, capacity building, gender mainstreaming, agriculture and livestock development, and the implementation of large-scale government and donor-funded projects.

An engineer by training, Mr. Khan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar. His pursuit of excellence took him to global learning centers including Harvard Business School, Harvard Kennedy School, Naropa University (USA), Frankfurt School of Finance (Germany), and Hiroshima’s Medical Development Institute (Japan).

Ms. Amina Hassan (Director)

Ms. Amina Hassan is a dynamic and accomplished professional with over 22 years of experience in microfinance, retail banking, and strategic leadership. She served as the Group Head of Business at Khushhali Microfinance Bank, where she led a nationwide branch network of 240+ outlets and over 6,000 staff. Her leadership was instrumental in driving digital transformation, business growth, and financial inclusion across Pakistan. A certified director by the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance (PICG) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), she has extensive expertise in business strategy, product development, CSR initiatives, and network expansion. Throughout her career, she has received numerous awards and accolades for her outstanding contributions to the microfinance sector. At ASARA for Humanity Network, Ms. Hassan brings visionary insight and operational excellence to help scale the organization’s impact in education, healthcare, and community development—especially for underserved and marginalized populations.

Ms. Aalya Qamar (Director)

Ms. Aaliya Qamar Khan is a seasoned banking professional with over 30 years of distinguished service in Pakistan’s largest commercial bank. With deep expertise in Human Resource Management, Microfinance, Consumer Banking, and Strategic Leadership, she brings a wealth of experience and insight to her role as Director at ASARA FOR HUMANITY NETWORK.

Throughout her career, Ms. Khan held several key leadership roles—rising from operations and IT to Branch and Area Management—consistently delivering exceptional results in business growth, team performance, and inclusive policy implementation. Notable achievements include over 300% growth in consumer/microfinance targets, leadership awards at regional BANCA conventions, and trailblazing efforts in promoting diversity by ensuring representation for women and persons with disabilities in hiring.

At ASARA, Ms. Khan champions empowerment, equity, and sustainable development. Her vast experience in financial inclusion, conflict resolution, and performance management enhances the organization’s ability to deliver transformative community programs with professionalism and purpose.

Ms. Khan holds a Master’s degree in English Literature and is fluent in English, Urdu, and Saraiki. Her legacy is marked by a deep commitment to integrity, service excellence, and empowering communities through inclusive leadership.

Mr. Muhammad Amir, Chief Executive Officer / Director (AHN)

Mr. Muhammad Amir is a seasoned development professional with over 23 years of leadership in microfinance, financial inclusion, and grassroots community empowerment. As the CEO and Director of ASARA FOR HUMANITY NETWORK, he leads transformative initiatives focused on microcredit, climate-resilient agriculture, women’s empowerment, and rural development across underserved communities.

His impactful career includes senior roles at NRSP Microfinance Bank and the National Rural Support Programme (NRSP), where he managed multi-billion rupee portfolios and led teams across diverse regions of Pakistan. Mr. Amir also serves as the Founder & CEO of Skill Up Online, a pioneering digital learning platform that equips professionals in the microfinance and MSME sectors with essential skills through innovative, tech-driven training.

Renowned for his strategic vision, capacity building, and social entrepreneurship, Mr. Amir continues to inspire change, foster economic resilience, and champion inclusive development through his work at ASARA and beyond.
