🌟 About the Program

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) is inviting applications for the Leading Minds Fellowship Program. This initiative seeks to reimagine climate education so that every child, everywhere, grows up prepared and empowered to shape a just and sustainable future.

UNICEF will select up to 12 young climate leaders to join a global cohort focused on elevating youth-led initiatives, conducting research, shaping policy, and designing strategic dialogues for long-term change.

🌍 What is “Youth-Led Climate Education”?

This fellowship is looking for initiatives that cover one or more of the following areas:

  • School Integration: Curriculum development, educational networks, or school-based climate clubs.
  • Government Partnerships: Collaborative models working with education authorities or policymakers.
  • Justice & Rights: Frameworks linking climate education to equity, justice, and human rights.
  • Community Resilience: Informal education, local projects, and community-led learning.
  • Digital Media: Online platforms, storytelling, and awareness-raising initiatives.

Selected Fellows will receive comprehensive support to help document, strengthen, and share their models:

Duration: 18-month engagement.
Time Commitment: Approximately 4 to 5 hours per week.
