AHN proudly shares this international opportunity offered by the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada to develop future leaders in the Indo-Pacific region through research, diplomacy, and professional networking.
Program Overview
- One-year leadership program (January – December 2026).
- Designed for young leaders across the Indo-Pacific region.
- Focus on Canada’s engagement with Asia.
- Networking with Canadian policymakers, business leaders, academics, and diplomats.
- Hands-on involvement in policy research and public outreach activities.
Learning Tour in Canada
- One-week visit to Canada (May or June 2026).
- Airfare, hotel, daily allowance and incidental costs covered.
- Participants arrange visas, insurance and personal expenses.
- Official invitation and support letter may be provided if needed.
Who Can Apply?
- Age limit: 39 years or younger.
- Citizens or permanent residents of Indo-Pacific countries.
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree.
- At least five years professional experience.
- Fields: Government, business, research, media, NGOs, academia.
- Strong interest in geopolitics, diplomacy, economics, or environment.
Participant Expectations
- Attend monthly virtual briefings.
- Participate fully in the Canada study tour.
- Engage respectfully with peers and speakers.
- Remain active in alumni programs.
