About the TechGirls Program
Asara for Humanity Network (AHN) is proud to highlight the TechGirls Program 2026, a prestigious global initiative supported by the U.S. Department of State and implemented by Legacy International.
The program brings together talented young girls from around the world for an immersive STEM-focused exchange in the United States, combining hands-on learning, mentorship, leadership development, and cultural exchange.
What the Program Covers
- Visa fee and round-trip international airfare to the United States
- Housing in supervised double-occupancy dormitories
- All meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner)
- Local transportation for all official program activities
- Cultural and leadership events organized by Legacy International
- Emergency health insurance for the duration of the program
Eligibility Criteria
- Girls aged 15–17 years at the start of the program (July 11, 2026)
- Born between July 12, 2008 and July 11, 2011
- Strong academic background and serious interest in STEM, especially technology
- Advanced-intermediate or higher English language proficiency
- Intention to pursue higher education or a career in STEM fields
- Demonstrated maturity, flexibility, leadership, and open-mindedness
- Commitment to complete a community-based project after returning home
- Must attend at least one additional semester of secondary school after return
Who Is Not Eligible
- Participants of another ECA exchange program in the past three years
- Immediate family members of U.S. Embassy or Consulate staff
- Family members of U.S. Department of State, Legacy International, or partner organizations
- U.S. citizens, dual citizens, or Americans living abroad
Application & Selection Process
Applications are reviewed by independent selection committees comprising industry leaders and regional experts. Semi-finalists are interviewed by U.S. Embassy personnel or Legacy International.
Due to high global demand, only the first 125 fully completed applications from each country or territory will be considered. Applications close automatically once the limit is reached.
