π― Award Objectives
- Celebrate Youth Impact on the SDGs: Spotlight exceptional contributions to a fair, peaceful, prosperous, and sustainable future.
- Encourage Youth-Led Development: Foster environments that invest in and sustain youth-led initiatives.
- Showcase Talent & Creativity: Share inspiring success stories from across the Commonwealth.
- Inspire Excellence: Promote high standards of service and leadership at community, national, regional, and international levels.
- Promote Youth in Media for Development: In partnership with the Commonwealth Association, recognise journalism and communications advancing free, democratic, inclusive societies.
π Awards & Prizes
- Four finalists per Commonwealth region β top entries receive a Regional Winner Award.
- The top Regional Winner becomes the Commonwealth Young Person of the Year.
- 20 Regional Finalists: Β£1,000 grant each + trophy + certificate.
- 5 Regional Winners: additional Β£2,000 (total Β£3,000) each.
- Pan-Commonwealth Winner: additional Β£2,000 (total Β£5,000).
- Patsy Robertson Award (Communications): Β£1,000 + trophy + certificate.
