About the fellowship
The Land is Life Indigenous Women’s Program Fellowship invites Indigenous women leaders who are driving change in their communities. The program prioritizes proposals with clear, achievable goals that advance Indigenous Peoples’ rights, gender equality, and community well‑being.
What the fellowship offers
- Mentoring: Personalized mentoring from experienced Indigenous women leaders.
- Funding & technical support: Up to $3,000 USD per project plus a participation stipend of $3,600 USD.
- Capacity building: Monthly trainings on Indigenous rights, leadership, advocacy, and community project management.
- Networking & advocacy: Opportunities to connect with partners and participate in national and international decision‑making spaces.

Eligibility
- Indigenous women aged 18–35.
- Not previously a Land is Life fellow.
- Committed to design and implement a community project within 10 months.
- Available for monthly training and peer‑learning sessions.
Application options
- Complete the online application form and submit a community project proposal that promotes Indigenous Peoples’ rights with focus on women & girls.
- If unable to complete the form, submit a video application (≤15 minutes) in English, French, or Spanish that answers the application questions and ends with your oral acceptance of terms.
Important dates
- Application deadline: November 05, 2025
- Results announced by: January 05, 2026
- Fellowship begins: January 12, 2026
